Ex-Kwara Speaker, Ahmad Ali extols Emir Sulu-Gambari’s appointment as pioneer Chancellor MKU

The former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Constitutional Law Professor, Rt. Hon. Prof. Ali Ahmad has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, and former Unilorin VC, Prof. AbdulRaheem Oba, on their appointments as Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor of the prestigious Muhammad Kamalud-deen University, Ilorin.

He described the official inauguration of the duo eminent personalities as well-deserved, NEWSNGR reports.

According to official reports, the management of Muhammad Kamalud-deen University, Ilorin, would formally install the Emir of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulRaheem Oba, and other notable personalities to sit on the apex decision-making body of the indigenous varsity on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The indigenous varsity would also formally matriculate 146 newly admitted students to commence the first-ever academic session under a seemingly conducive learning environment.

Professor Ali sends his warmest congratulations to the 146 matriculants on their admission, urging them to utilize the opportunities offered by the university. He, meanwhile, advised them to shun social vices and instead showcase the rich cultural values of the state to the nation.

Meanwhile, the varsity don commended the efforts of former Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, whose mega-scholarship initiatives for indigent students and other interventions have had a significant impact on the take-off of the indigenous varsity, geared towards making education attractive to intending students in the state.

The Professor of Constitutional Law charged the management of Muhammad Kamalud-deen University, Ilorin, with ensuring thorough dedication and providing quality education in shaping a better future for young leaders.
