The member representing the Ohafia South State Constituency, Hon. Kalu Mba, celebrates Abia State for 34 years of its creation.
In an exclusive Interview with NEWSNGR on Wednesday, Kalu expressed gladness over the tremendous growth and development of the State.
“Abia state has witnessed tremendous growth and development, driven by the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of its people.
“So today, I join the good people of Abia State in celebrating a significant milestone of 34 years of statehood.
“This momentous occasion is a testament to the resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit of the Abia people,” he said.
He also emphasised that Abia State has come a long way since 27th August 1991, from its rich cultural heritage to its vast economic potential, stating that the celebration is used to acknowledge the efforts of the state’s past and present leaders.
“As we celebrate this anniversary, we acknowledge the efforts of the state’s leaders, past and present, who have worked tirelessly to promote the welfare and well-being of the Abia people.
“We also recognise the contributions of the state’s vibrant business community, who have played a crucial role in driving economic growth and development,” he said.
Furthermore, he gave his blessings to the state, wishing the state continued peace and prosperity.
“As Abia State looks to the future, I wish our people continued peace, prosperity, and growth. May the state continue to thrive and become a model for others to follow. May the government and people of Abia State continue to work together to build a brighter future for all, and may the state continue to play a leading role in the economic and social development of Nigeria.
He also thanked the Governor for restoring pride in Abia State.
“I want to, on this special occasion, extend my appreciation to our able and hard-working governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti for returning pride to every Abian through his magical transformation of the state, from being the dirtiest state to the cleanest state in the country and with the advancement of infrastructures across all parts of Abia state and revamping our state’s health and educational system.
“Once again, happy 34th anniversary to the people of Abia State. May God bless and grant us many more years of peace, progress, and prosperity,” he prayed.
