Honourable Lucky Johnson, member representing Isuikwuato state constituency, has expressed gratitude to Governor Dr Alex Otti for the massive infrastructural developments in his constituency.
Hon. Johnson disclosed this in an interview with journalists on Thursday.
“We are trying to say kudos and say a good thank you to his excellency, Dr Alex. He has made us proud; he has made the Isuikwuato people so happy,” he said.
According to Hon. Johnson, ongoing road construction projects in Isuikwuato are transforming the area, including a “trench of gold” road under construction from Umunegwuagbo to Amigbo-Acha Road and for the appointment of his constituent, Dr Mrs. Onwumere Salome, as the State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce.
“This is a totally new construction of a new road, which we have never seen since the creation of Abia state,” he said.
Hon. Johnson noted that some of these roads had been completed and were already benefiting residents.
Hon. Johnson revealed plans for future road projects expected to be captured in the 2026 budget including roads connecting Amaba, Eze Ozara, Eziri, Amakwa, Acha, Umukurukwu, down to Onuaku.
He emphasized that stakeholders were working together to ensure execution of these projects which would enhance connectivity to Ebonyi State.
Speaking on economic benefits, Johnson noted Acha as an agricultural hub which could sustain people from Isuikwuato and Ebonyi State.
