ABU Student Becomes Third Car Winner as MTN Live It 100 on Campus Tour Continues Across Nigeria

A 400-level Chemistry student of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Ezekiel Oluwatobi Daniel, has won a brand-new car at the MTN Live It 100 On Campus Tour held at the university.

The three-day campus activation featured entertainment, digital experiences, entrepreneurship activities and student engagement, giving students an opportunity to participate in various activities and compete for prizes.

The activation, which ran from Wednesday, August 26 to Friday, August 28, 2026, marked the third stop on MTN’s seven-campus tour of tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The tour was earlier held at Delta State University (DELSU) and Ekiti State University (EKSU), with other institutions expected to follow.

Daniel, who emerged as the grand prize winner at the finale, said the win came as a surprise and described the moment as a dream, expressing his appreciation to MTN for the opportunity.

“Everything is happening like a dream to me right now because I didn’t believe I was going to win. I feel good. I’m very happy. It just feels like a dream right now. I want to say Thank you to MTN for this great opportunity.”

The car was the top prize among several rewards presented to students during the activation. Four other ABU students also won prizes in different categories.

Iyiola Oyeleke, a 100-level Mass Communication student, won a laptop, while Victoria Adeleke, a 400-level English and Literature Studies student, emerged second and received a refrigerator.

Edeh Godswill Ogbada, a 100-level Language Arts student, won the third prize, also receiving a refrigerator, while Moses John, a 200-level Quantity Survey student, took the fourth prize and won a microwave.

Speaking during the activation, Temilolu Salako, Senior Manager, Segment Marketing MTN Nigeria, said Live It 100 was created to encourage young people to pursue their ambitions with commitment and make the most of their potential.

“Live It 100 is about encouraging young people to bring their best to whatever they choose to pursue. Whether it is academics, entrepreneurship, entertainment or their personal passions, we want them to approach it with confidence, commitment and the belief that they can achieve more,” Salako said.

He added that the campus experience was designed to go beyond entertainment by creating opportunities for students to learn, explore digital experiences and showcase their entrepreneurial ventures, adding that the company’s objective was to reach young people across tertiary institutions and demonstrate its commitment to supporting their educational, career and lifestyle aspirations.

The programme also featured a Digital Game Village with video and board games, immersive photo experiences, product demonstrations, device displays and an SME showcase.

Dennis Ukume, Public Relations Officer, Postgraduate Representative Council, ABU, described the activation as one of the university’s standout events in recent years, particularly commending the transparency of the prize selection process.

“What impressed me most was the fairness and openness of the process, which gave students confidence that everyone had an equal opportunity to participate and win. I believe initiatives like this can go a long way towards encouraging students, boosting their confidence and creating memorable campus experiences,” he said.

Some students who spoke about the activation described it as entertaining and informative.

A student, Amira Rukayya Bashir, said the programme provided students with an opportunity to relax while learning more about MTN’s services. Another student, Ezinne Odumegwu, said the activation came at a time when students needed a break from academic activities.

Through the Live It 100 On Campus Tour, MTN continues to engage young Nigerians on campus, creating opportunities for them to unwind, connect and explore new experiences.
