The President General of respected Niger Delta socio-cultural group, the Orashi National Congress, ONC, Amb Comrade Emeni Ibe, has expressed shock and sadness over the demise of HRH Eze Thankgod Okedike.
In his condolence message, Amb Ibe said, “On behalf of the Orashi National Congress, ONC, I profoundly commiserate and mourn with the entire Okedike Family over the painful demise of HRH Eze Thankgod Okedike (Eze Ukani-Ula Igbu Ubie)”.
“I express deep regret over the transition of the revered royal father. His passing is a monumental loss not only to Igbu Ubie and Ekpeye Kingdom but to the entire Orashi region.”
“He was a symbol of peace, wisdom, dignity and fatherly leadership, whose reign fostered unity, cultural preservation and communal advancement. The vacuum created by his departure will be deeply felt among the traditional ruling class, political leadership, academia, legal practitioners, clergy and the entire Ekpeye nation and the Orashi region.”
The President General of Orashi National Congress prayed that the Almighty God will grant the royal family, the people of Igbu Ubie and all loved ones the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, while the soul of the departed finds eternal peace among his ancestors.
