The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the schedule for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and a mock accreditation exercise ahead of the November 8, Anambra State governorship election.
In a statement by its Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Victoria Eta-Messi, INEC said PVC collection for voters who registered during the recent Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will hold from Wednesday, October 22 – 26.
The commission urged eligible voters to collect their cards in person at their respective registration areas, noting that proxy collection would not be allowed.
INEC described the exercise as essential for voters intending to participate in the governorship election and encouraged prompt collection of PVCs.
The electoral body also announced a mock accreditation exercise for October 25 across selected polling units in the three senatorial districts of the state.
According to the statement, the mock exercise aims to test the upgraded Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and assess the efficiency of result uploads to the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) Portal ahead of the main election.
Selected polling units include: Anambra Central: Awka South (Amawbia II – Igwédimma Primary School I & II) and Idemili North (Nkpor II – Ububa Village Square, Ifeadigo Hall).

Anambra South: Aguata (Ekwulobia I & II – Central School, Urban Girls Secondary School), Orumba North (Ajalli I – Primary School, RCM KDT School).
INEC urged voters in the selected areas to participate and provide feedback to help fine-tune operational and technological processes before the election.
