The Anambra Police Command has arrested six suspects allegedly terrorising communities in Oko, the Ekwulobia Local Government Area of the state.

A recent joint operation comprising the police and vigilantes led to the arrest of the suspects over armed robbery and vandalism in the communities.

The police explained that two suspects, Anagor Chinedu, 25 and Anagor Rapuluchukwu, 23, were arrested at Ifite village, Oko, and operatives recovered one English Beretta pistol from them.

“The suspects confessed to being members of beggars’ confraternity and mentioned their Armourer as ‘kiss me’.

“The Operatives have also declared a manhunt for a notorious cultist and gunrunner known as ‘Kiss Me’,” the police said.

In another development, the police said a distress call over the vandalism of electrical wires at the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic Oko led to the arrest of four suspects.
