The Parish Priest of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Boji-Boji Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area ofu Delta State, Rev Fr Stephen Chukwuma, is dead.
Fr Chukwuma died on New Year’s eve during a crossover Mass, it was gathered.
This was contained in a statement by the Director of Communications of the Diocese of Issele-Uku, Very Rev Fr Dr Charlesow Uganwa.
Fr Uganwa stated that, “With total resignation to the will of God, the Bishop, priests, religious and lay faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Issele-Uku announce the call to glory of Very Rev Fr Dr Stephen Chukwuma, which took place on Wednesday, 31st December, 2025.
“Until his death, he was the Parish Priest of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Agbor.”
Fr Chukwuma, 63, collapsed during a homily at the New to Year’s Eve Mass and was later confirmed dead.
It was gathered that the deceased had, until his death, served as the Regional Vicar of the Agbor Region in the Catholic Diocese of of Issele-Uku. He is a native of Akumazi-Umuocha in Ika North East LocalY Government Area of Delta State.
