The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, AKOD, has reminded residents that the application and screening exercise for 200 free General Certificate of Education, GCE, forms is still ongoing for qualified students in the council area.
The initiative is part of the Chairman’s commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment, aimed at supporting deserving students who may not be able to afford GCE registration fees.
According to the council, the screening is taking place daily at the Marriage Hall, Ikeja Local Government Secretariat, between *10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.*
Parents, guardians, and community leaders have been urged to take advantage of the window and bring their eligible children and wards for screening before the exercise closes.

To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
– *Be in SS2 proceeding to SS3, or have completed SS3* with evidence of class
– *National Identification Number (NIN)*
– *Functional e-mail address*
– *Functional phone number*
– *LASSRA Registration Number*
Speaking on the programme, Comrade Dauda reiterated that the goal is to give every qualified student a fair opportunity to succeed regardless of financial background.
“Education remains the best legacy we can give our children. I call on all eligible residents not to miss this opportunity,” the Chairman said.
