Operatives of the Abuja Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday, July 17, 2025, arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.
They were apprehended at the Mararaba area of Nasarawa State following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet-related crime.
Items recovered from them include five cars, 20 phones and four laptops.
The suspects will soon be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded, according to a statement on the Commission’s X page.
The EFCC has recently intensified its crackdown against cyber criminals across the country. Scores of suspects are facing prosecution in different states.
