Olutoge, a former forward who played for Saffron Walden and featured in the Essex Senior League, believes Nigeria possesses an abundance of football talent but lacks the structures needed to develop players into world-class stars.
According to him, comprehensive reforms are needed to revitalize the domestic league, including improved player welfare, better salaries, enhanced television rights, and stronger commercial strategies.
He lamented the overwhelming support Nigerians give to European clubs while the domestic league continues to struggle for attention and investment.
Olutoge believes a well-organized domestic league would elevate Nigerian clubs to continental and global prominence.
The former Tottenham Hotspur youth coach also expressed confidence in his ability to help build a sustainable football development system capable of producing elite players for Nigeria’s national teams.
He stressed, however, that achieving such a vision would require long-term planning, commitment, and a collective change in mindset.
Olutoge brings a wealth of coaching experience, having worked within the youth setups of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. He also holds a Master’s degree from the UCFB Etihad Campus, Manchester, where he further developed his expertise in football coaching and management.
With his ambitious vision and international experience, Olutoge believes Nigeria has the potential to become a global football powerhouse if the right structures are put in place and sustained.
