Fubara Appoints New Secretary To State Government

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Hon. Benibo Anabraba as the new Secretary to the State Government.

The appointment was announced in a statement signed by Dr. Honour Kuru Sirawoo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications.

According to the statement, Hon. Anabraba will be sworn in today, Monday, October 13, 2025, by 4:00 pm at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt. Guests have been asked to be seated by 3:30 pm.

This development comes as part of the state’s governance restructuring, with the new SSG expected to play a crucial role in implementing the governor’s agenda and policies.

Anabraba is a seasoned politician and administrator who has served in various capacities, including as a two-term member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
