Gov Abiodun hails APC National Chairman, Yilwatda at 58

Mr Abiodun said the National Chairman has demonstrated the capacity, maturity and political dexterity required to lead the ruling party at a critical stage in the nation’s political development

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, on his 58th birthday, describing him as a focused and strategic leader whose stewardship is strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a congratulatory message, the Governor noted that the APC under Yilwatda’s leadership had continued to deepen internal cohesion, strengthen party structures and position itself for greater electoral victories across the country.

He described the National Chairman as a dependable party administrator and grassroots-oriented politician whose commitment to unity and inclusiveness would remain crucial to the continued growth of the APC.

According to Governor Abiodun, the task before the APC is not merely to win elections, but to build a political organisation that is sufficiently strong, united and responsive to the aspirations of Nigerians.

He said the party’s impressive electoral record and growing acceptance across the country provided a solid foundation for the APC to consolidate its position as Nigeria’s leading political platform.

“Your 58th birthday provides another opportunity to celebrate your contributions to the growth and consolidation of our great party.

“Since assuming the leadership of our party, you have demonstrated courage, humility, political maturity and a clear understanding of the responsibility entrusted to you.

“At this critical juncture in our national political journey, the APC requires a leadership that can unite our members, strengthen our structures and mobilise our people for greater electoral victories. Your leadership has continued to provide that direction.

“As we look towards 2027, I am confident that with a united and determined APC, under your leadership, we will consolidate our achievements, expand our electoral frontiers and renew the confidence of Nigerians in our progressive agenda.”

Governor Abiodun further commended Mr Yilwatda for his commitment to strengthening the bond between the party leadership and its members at all levels, stressing that a strong party remains indispensable to the success and sustainability of democratic governance.

He expressed confidence that the National Chairman would continue to deploy his experience and political ingenuity to build an even stronger APC capable of winning more states, expanding its national reach and delivering victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the party in the 2027 elections.

The Governor prayed to God to grant the APC National Chairman many more years in good health, wisdom and strength to continue his service to the party and the nation.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Ogun State, I warmly felicitate with you, our National Chairman, on your 58th birthday.

“I pray that God will continue to guide you, strengthen you and grant you the wisdom required to lead our party to greater heights.

“May this new chapter bring you greater accomplishments, and may your leadership continue to contribute to the unity, stability and electoral success of our great party,” Mr Abiodun said.
