Gov Otu Orders Appointees With 2027 Ambitions To Resign By March 26

Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State has issued a directive requiring all members of the State Executive Council and political appointees eyeing positions in the 2027 general elections to resign their current posts.

According to a press release issued today, March 18, 2026, by the Chief Press Secretary, Linus Obogo, the deadline for these resignations is March 26, 2026.
