The Nigerian Senate has confirmed Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria following his screening on Thursday.
Darma was nominated on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu to join his cabinet, replacing the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
During plenary, Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the President’s communication and referred the nomination to the Committee of the Whole for consideration, directing it to report back as soon as practicable.
Darma previously served as Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
