Kaduna: Supporters stage 10km walk, celebrate Uba Sani’s choice of Jerry Adams

Supporters of Gov. Uba Sani on Saturday embarked on a 10 kilometre walk to celebrate his choice of Jerry Adams as running mate.

The walk organised by a group known as Good People of Kaduna, started from Station Roundabout and terminated at the Kaduna State Government House.

The convener, Olayinka Abdulganiyu, said the exercise was organised to appreciate Sani for selecting Adams, whom he described as the people’s choice.

Mr Abdulganiyu, Coordinator of the Good People of Kaduna, said youths across the state supported the governor’s decision and appreciated Adams’ contributions to their development.

He urged residents to continue supporting the administration, expressing optimism that the Sani/Adams ticket would deliver victory in the 2027 governorship election.

Mohammed Suleiman, Lead Convener, said the walk was also organised to appreciate the governor for promoting inclusiveness and unity across religious and ethnic divides.

Suleiman said Kaduna had historically embraced power sharing between Christians and Muslims, adding that the governor’s choice of Adams reflected the spirit of inclusiveness.

He described Adams as a strong political force in Kaduna, expressing confidence that the Sani/Adams ticket would secure victory in the 2027 election.

Fabian Okoye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Research, Documentation and Strategy, described the turnout as massive and evidence of widespread acceptance.

Okoye said the governor’s choice demonstrated his commitment to peaceful coexistence, unity and development, describing Sani as a leader who prioritised inclusiveness.

He said the administration had transformed Kaduna from what he called a toxic environment into an atmosphere where residents could coexist peacefully.

Okoye added that Kaduna had witnessed increased activities and renewed confidence under the present administration, expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 election.
