The Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi has described the late Founder and President of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association (UUEA), Rev. Dr Uma Ukpai, as a man of immovable faith whose ministry transformed countless lives across the world.
In a condolence message issued in Abuja on Tuesday, Umahi said he received the news of the revered cleric’s passing on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80, with sadness and a profound sense of loss.
According to him, the late Reverend was a renowned preacher and teacher of the gospel whose insightful sermons and evangelistic work helped shape the spiritual journey of many Christians globally.
“He was a man of unwavering faith who preached the gospel of Christ with decades of devotion. He shall be remembered for his untiring commitment towards promoting the flourishing of the word of God,” Umahi said.
The minister noted that Ukpai continued to serve God diligently until his final day on earth, when he was called to eternal rest in the presence of his heavenly Father.
“With the Christian faithful around the globe, we join our hearts in solidarity and empathy with the bereaved family at this solemn moment as we offer our prayers for the repose of his soul,” Umahi added.
He conveyed his condolences on behalf of his family, the management, and staff of the Federal Ministry of Works, praying that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
