A 42-year old man, Adeyemi Tunde, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly burgling a house and carting away N6m worth of Soft Copies of Books Outline belonging to Ehimen Joshua.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 20th February, 2026, at Amos Akinwola Street, Fagbile Estate, ljegun, Lagos.
He was alleged to have also stolen items including Tecno Spark 5pro phone and voter’s card belonging to the complainant.
According to the Police, the suspect and others at large went to the house in the early hours of the morning, stole the items and escaped. The complainant later discovered what happened and reported to the Police at Isheri Oshun Division. The Police operatives moved into action, eventually arrested the suspect and detained him at the station for interrogation over the alleged offence.
After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and charged him before the Ejigbo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charges read:
COUNT I: “That you, ADEYEMI TUNDE ‘M’, and others now at large, on the 20/02/2026 at about 14:00hrs at No.16 Amos Akinwola Street, Fagbile Estate, ljegun, in the Lagos State Magisterial District, did conspire together to commit felony therein, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, ADEYEMI TUNDE ‘M’, and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did break and enter into the house of one EHIMEN JOSHUA ‘M’, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 309 criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT III:”That you, ADEYEMI TUNDE ‘M’, and others now at large, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did steal one voter’s card, one Tecno Spark 5pro phone valued at N70,000.00 (seventy thousand Naira) and CD soft copies of books outlines “MATHEMATICS and PHYSICS valued at N6, 000, 000, 00 (six million naira only) property of one EHIMEN JOSHUA ‘M’, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
COUNT IV:”That you, ADEYEMI TUNDE ‘M’, and others now at large, on the same date, time and place at the aforementioned magisterial district, did willfully and unlawfully damage window nets valued at N25,000.00 (twenty five thousand Naira) and entrance door valued at N45,000.00 (forty five thousand Naira) belonging to one EHIMEN JOSHUA ‘M’, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 51 of the criminal law of Lagos State, Nigeria 2015.”
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, F.R. Ogunkoyede, granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
