Canada has a total land mass – excluding lakes and rivers – of approximately 9,093,507 square kilometres. When we include the freshwater lakes and rivers, the country’s geographical area covers about 9,984,670 square kilometres, making Canada the second largest country in the world by total area, after Russia.
