Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba has announced plans to request the transfer of the ongoing DNA investigation from Lagos to Ekiti.
In a video statement, Aloba alleged interference in the forensic process, claiming that some of the facilities designated for the DNA testing lack the necessary capacity to conduct post-mortem analyses.
He added that his legal team had raised objections over the suitability of the laboratories proposed for the tests and accused certain interests of attempting to obstruct the resolution of the case.
Aloba emphasised that conducting the DNA test is crucial before the late singer’s burial.
Mohbad passed away in September 2023, a death that drew widespread attention and demands for justice.
His body was later exhumed for autopsy, and he has yet to be reburied.
