The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a planned temporary closure of the Karu-Mogadishu road on Saturday for its annual 10km walk/jog exercise.
The service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00 am to 8:00 am during the exercise.
NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, announced the exercise on Friday.
Ejidoma assured FCT residents that adequate arrangements have been made to minimise any inconvenience that may arise during the exercise.
He said, “Normal traffic flow will resume immediately after the event.
“The NAF appreciates the cooperation and understanding of the general public as it continues to prioritise the fitness and readiness of its personnel in service to the nation.
“We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause to road users.”
