On 2 July, Nigeria’s defence, intelligence, law enforcement, anti-corruption, emergency response, and public safety agencies took an extraordinary step by jointly addressing the nation on the state of national security. The initiative emerged from consultations among the leadership of these institutions under the coordination of the National Security Adviser (NSA).
