Nigerian Comedian Sabinus Confirms Amicable End Of Marriage To Ciana Chapman

Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, better known as Sabinus or Mr. Funny, has publicly confirmed the dissolution of his marriage to UK-based Ciana Chapman.

In a candid TikTok live session earlier today, Sabinus addressed swirling rumours about his personal life, stating that the union, which began with a private ceremony in 2023, has come to a peaceful conclusion. The couple, who share a young daughter, emphasised their commitment to co-parenting amicably.

“I’m not married. My marriage ended peacefully. The mum and I are good. My daughter is okay, and she is doing fine,” Sabinus said during the stream, directly refuting allegations of domestic violence, infidelity, and neglect that had surfaced online in recent months.

The confirmation follows months of speculation fuelled by social media posts and unverified claims from sources close to Chapman, who reportedly resides in the UK with their child. Earlier reports suggested tensions arose shortly after the wedding, including accusations of emotional neglect and financial abandonment. However, both parties had previously denied any irreparable rift.

Sabinus, whose rise to fame through comedic skits has earned him millions of followers, used the opportunity to urge fans to focus on positivity. “We are prioritising our daughter’s well-being above all,” he added, signalling mutual respect despite the separation.

This development places Sabinus among Nigerian celebrities who have recently experienced high-profile splits handled without public acrimony, including singer 2Baba and actress Anita Joseph.
