The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State for the 2027 general election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola otherwise known as Yayi, on Sunday, inaugurated a multi-million naira campaign headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Speaking at the event which was attended by his running mate, Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, APC leaders, top government functionaries, traditional rulers and members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Senator Adeola said the edifice located in the Ibara Area of Abeokuta, would henceforth serve as a coordinating centre for his electioneering activities till the 2027 poll.
He disclosed that he began the construction of the campaign headquarters two years ago when he was not even sure that he would secure the APC governorship ticket.
Adeola, who said that he tied the construction of the building to faith and belief in God that he would eventually emerge the party candidate, added that the office was completed a few months before he was unanimously announced as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC.
He stated further that he had made up his mind to put the building to another use if his gubernatorial aspiration fell through, expressing gratitude to God for turning his dream into reality.
Adeola however, thanked the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, for believing in his capacity to succeed him and competence to deliver good governance to the people of the state.

“I am happy today that we are commissioning this beautiful edifice as my campaign headquarters. It started two years ago when the coast was not clear at all. I was not sure that I would get the ticket of my party, but I tied its construction to faith.”
“After the completion of the building, I was still an aspirant but my faith in God was unshaken. I even had a thought that if eventually the gubernatorial aspiration didn’t come through, I would put the building to another use. But as God would have it, I was the first to emerge as a gubernatorial candidate of APC in Nigeria. I emerged as the consensus governorship candidate in April ahead of the APC primaries in May. For this, I am grateful to God”, he stated.
He however, thanked the party leaders and members who believed in him, promising he would run an administration that will ensure fair play, equity and justice.
Senator Adeola informed the gathering that the campaign headquarters belongs to party members who are willing to contribute to the successful campaigns towards 2027.
Earlier in his remarks, the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, who represented Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of the state, commended Adeola for building a beautiful edifice as a campaign headquarters, which according to him is unprecedented in the state.
He expressed joy that the APC governorship candidate built a campaign headquarters that will serve as a reference point to others all over the country, noting Adeola would continue on the legacies of the incumbent administration in the state.
