Ojodu LCDA has advanced its community healthcare drive, with 50 residents benefiting from its ongoing free breast screening exercise at the Ogba Primary Health Centre (PHC).
The initiative is part of the council’s preventive healthcare strategy aimed at encouraging early detection of breast-related conditions and reducing late diagnoses, especially among women.
Providing an update, the Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accessible and quality healthcare. He noted that the programme has witnessed increasing participation, reflecting improved health awareness among residents.

He disclosed that all mild to moderate cases identified during the screening have been referred to the council’s “See a Doctor Programme” for further medical attention, monitoring and treatment.
Residents have commended the initiative as impactful, while the council boss assured that the exercise will continue in phases to reach more communities across Ojodu LCDA.
