Otti Opens Second Aba International Trade Fair

The 2nd Aba International Trade Fair themed “Sustaining the Momentum: Unlocking Abia’s Economic Potential” has been officially opened at the Aba Mega Mall, Osisioma.

Declaring the tradefair open on behalf of the Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Kenneth Kalu, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to building a business-friendly environment that fosters free flow of trade and commerce.

He described the theme as timely and reflective of the transformative strides the present government is making to boost investment and promote economic growth across the state. He wished all participants a fruitful and memorable trade fair.

In her welcome address, the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Dr. Mr. Salome Obiukwu, noted that the trade fair is a platform to showcase innovation, enterprise, and the resilient spirit of Abians. She emphasized the importance of sustaining current achievements and commended the Governor for prioritizing trade and commerce.

Speaking also the President ABA chambers of commerce, industry mines and Agriculture, Mazi Jude Nnamdi Nwosu, declared Abia State the safest destination for business in Nigeria.

He attributed this to the significant investments in security by the present administration, making the state a haven for investors.

The event attracted key government officials, captains of industry and stakeholders from the trade and commerce sector.
