“We Don’t Want You Again” — Kano Constituents Clash With Reps Member Jibrin

A high-ranking member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, was recently caught in a tense confrontation with residents of his constituency in Kano State.

The lawmaker, who represents Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency, was seen in a viral video participating in a very loud and aggressive argument with a group of local people.

The footage, which has since gone viral across various social media platforms, shows the veteran politician exchanging harsh words with the gathered crowd.

Jibrin, currently serving his fourth term in the National Assembly, appeared visibly angry during the encounter and was seen shouting insults at the people surrounding him as the situation nearly spiraled out of control.

While the specific reason behind the sudden clash remains unclear, many local observers believe the incident is a reflection of the rising political temperature in Kano.

In another clip from the same scene, the atmosphere appeared even more hostile as the crowd began chanting in unison. The constituents were heard shouting “Ba mayi,” a Hausa expression that translates to “We don’t want you again,” signaling a clear wave of dissatisfaction with his leadership.

Honorable Jibrin has not yet commented on the video or the circumstances of the row. This public outburst comes at a sensitive time for the lawmaker, following his recent friction with political stakeholders in the state.
