‘You Were An Inspiration To Millions’— Osonwa Mourns Uma Ukpai’s Death

The Member Representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has described the death of Revered Uma Ukpai as a big loss to the nation and the global community.

In a statement made available to NewsNGR on Monday, Osonwa said the late cleric is not just a revered preacher but also family, a relative of his mother who played a significant role in shaping his spiritual foundation.

He also described Ukpai as a father of faith, a humble servant of God, and an inspiration to millions across the world.

While condoning with the Christian community, Osonwa said Ukpai was Ohafia’s greatest gift to the world.

Through his fiery preaching, healing crusades, and unshakeable faith, the lawmaker said the cleric brought salvation, healing, and hope to countless lives.

The statement reads, “Today, my heart is heavy. I have lost someone very dear to me. Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, a father figure, a mentor, and a shining pride of Ohafia land.

“Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai was not only a revered preacher but also family, a relative of my mother —and a man who played a significant role in shaping our spiritual foundation.

“He was a father of faith, a humble servant of God, and an inspiration to millions across the world.

“Dr. Ukpai was Ohafia’s greatest gift to the world. Through his fiery preaching, healing crusades, and unshakeable faith, he brought salvation, healing, and hope to countless lives. He carried Ohafia in his heart wherever he went and contributed immensely to our community’s spiritual and social growth.

“His life was a testament to humility, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God. He was more than a preacher. He was a peacemaker, a giver, and a pillar of strength to many.

“Though we mourn deeply, we take comfort in knowing that he lived a fulfilled life devoted to Christ. His legacy of faith and love will continue to shine through the generations he inspired.

“May the Almighty grant his soul eternal rest. Ohafia, Abia State, Nigeria, and indeed the world, have lost a true servant of God.

“Rest in peace, Papa Uma Ukpai. Your light will never dim.”
