Man Utd’s Challenge: Record a Draw with Burnley as per Ten Hag’s Insights
Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, expressed disappointment over his team’s inability to secure a victory as they settled for a 1-1 draw with Burnley last Saturday.
The Red Devils encountered difficulties in penetrating the visitors’ defense, and the match seemed destined to conclude without goals until Antony scored in the 79th minute.
Despite gaining the lead, the Clarets managed to snatch a point when Andre Onana conceded a penalty that led to Zeki Amdouni’s equalizer from the spot.
During an interview with BBC Match of the Day, Ten Hag remarked, “We positioned ourselves to win, and for substantial periods of the match, we were in control.
“Apart from a brief spell in the latter stages of the first half where we permitted some opportunities, we dominated the remainder of the game.
“We had the advantage, and we let it slip away.”
