Nasarawa United secures spot in NNL Super Eight playoff
After a 1-1 draw with Zamfara United, Nasarawa United clinched a place in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff.
Securing the second spot in the Northern Conference Group C, the Solid Miners followed El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
Zamfara United took the lead with a goal from Namadi Ahmad in the 40th minute.
However, the visitors responded quickly with an equalizer from Terdoo Shimagande just two minutes later.
Sokoto United and Sporting Supreme FC have already advanced to the playoff from Northern Conference Group D.
Madiba FC and Beyond Limits FA are on track to qualify from Southern Conference Group A.
The race for the Southern Conference Group B spots remains undecided and will be determined on the final day.
Four teams will earn promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League from the NNL.
The overall winner of the 2023/24 season will emerge from the Super Eight playoff.
