Four new senators who were elected in the June 20 senatorial by-election, have been sworn-in.
They were sworn-in on Wednesday by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
The new senators are Ikeje Asogwa (Enugu North), Olaka Nwogu (Rivers South-East),
Dayo Faduyile (Ondo South) and
Danladi Envulu-Anza (Nasarawa North).
Senator Faduyile replaced Senator Jimoh Ibrahim who was appointed as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative in the United Nations.
But Senators Asogwa, Nwogu and Danladi Envulu-Anza replaced the former occupants of their respective seats who died at various times during the year.
