The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course will begin nationwide on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
The three-week exercise will take place simultaneously in orientation camps across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory and will end on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, disclosed the dates in a statement issued by the scheme.
According to the statement, call-up numbers have already been uploaded to the online dashboards of prospective corps members, while call-up letters containing their states of deployment and other relevant information will be released in due course.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch B Stream II service year on successfully completing their studies in institutions within and outside Nigeria.
Nafiu said their successful completion of their academic programmes had qualified them to participate in the mandatory national service.
He wished the prospective corps members a safe journey to their respective orientation camps and warned them against travelling at night.
The Director-General also urged them to comply strictly with all travel and safety guidelines throughout their journeys.
“The National Youth Service Corps wishes to inform the general public that the 2026 Batch B Stream II Orientation Course will commence on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in all orientation camps within the country,” the statement said.
“The three-week exercise, which will be held simultaneously in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, will end on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
“Accordingly, call-up numbers have been uploaded to the dashboards of prospective corps members, while call-up letters will be made available in due course.”
The NYSC reiterated its advice to prospective corps members to avoid night journeys and make their personal safety a priority while travelling to camp.
