Cutix, who manufactures electrical, automobile, and telecommunication wires and cables said the auditors’ decision followed “a strategic review of their audit portfolio.”
Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co, the external auditors of Cutix Plc, have resigned their appointment after about six years of auditing the company’s accounts.
Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co joined Cutix as external auditor in in November 2020, replacing ANOC Professional service who also retired at the time.
The resignation took effect on 28 August, the date of the company’s 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Cutix, who manufactures electrical, automobile, and telecommunication wires and cables said the auditors’ decision followed “a strategic review of their audit portfolio.”
The manufacturer said the review led to the auditors’ decision to discontinue as Cutix’s external auditors after completing the audit for the financial year ended 30 April 2026.
“The Board of Directors has acknowledged the resignation and commenced the process of appointing a replacement external auditor, subject to the necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals,” the wires and cables producer said.
The company said it will make further disclosure to NGX upon the appointment of the new external auditors and completion of the applicable approval processes.
