Presidential aspirant Peter Obi has extended Eid-el-Kabir greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, describing the celebration as a symbol of faith, sacrifice, obedience to God, compassion, and love for humanity.
In his Sallah message, Obi urged Nigerians to reflect on the values of selflessness, tolerance, and dedication to the common good, stressing that such virtues are crucial at a time when the country is facing numerous challenges.
He noted that despite Nigeria’s vast potential, the nation continues to struggle with avoidable difficulties, expressing hope that the spirit of
would inspire citizens to work towards building a more functional, just, and productive society where no one is neglected.
Obi also called for prayers for security personnel battling insecurity across the country, wisdom for leaders at all levels, and economic relief for Nigerians facing hardship.
He further encouraged citizens to embrace peace, mutual respect, and unity beyond religious and ethnic differences.
The former Anambra State governor also referenced his recent engagement with former African leaders in South Africa, including Ian Khama and Thabo Mbeki, while emphasising the need for stronger African unity and cooperation.
