In recent years, there have been several instances in which journalists and media organisations have come into conflict with security institutions over reports that authorities considered sensitive or capable of affecting national security. These incidents have sparked public debate over where to draw the line between the need to protect national security and the media’s constitutional responsibility to inform citizens.
