Residents of Ofada in Ogun State have expressed appreciation to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, the lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and APC Governorship candidate, for the provision of an electricity transformer to the community.
The transformer was delivered to the area in the early hours of Monday, August 31, 2025, fulfilling a promise made by the Senator to the people of Ofada.
In a letter of appreciation signed by Prof. Abayomi Durosinmi-Etti, OFR, the community thanked Senator Yayi for keeping his word.
“Dear Senator Adeola, Your Excellency our Governor in waiting, Good morning.
I just received a call from the Ofada youth leader, that the Transformer was finally delivered around 11pm last night,” the letter read.
“On behalf of all the good people of Ofada, I say a BIG Thank You for fulfilling your promise to your massive supporters and all the good people of Ofada.”
Prof. Durosinmi-Etti recalled reminding residents, including the Vicar and youths of the over 100-year-old St. David’s Anglican Church, Ofada, during a church harvest last Sunday, about the Senator’s pledge to deliver the transformer this week.
“We give God all the Glory. God will continue to Bless you and your entire family. He will continue to grant you all the good desires of your heart in the Mighty name of Jesus. Amen,” he added.
The letter also acknowledged the support of Senator Yayi’s Chief of Staff, Chief Kayode Odunaro, “for his steadfast support all the way.”
Prof. Durosinmi-Etti assured the Senator of the continued support of the people of Ofada, especially the youths.
“Please be assured of the continuing support of the majority of our people especially the youths of Ofada. Mr. Muyiwa Sokunbi, the Youth Leader, reaffirmed this support again last Sunday, August 30, when we met at Ofada,” he said.
The intervention is expected to improve electricity supply and boost socio-economic activities in Ofada and its environs.
