#OsunDecides2026: Ex-NPC commissioner commends security agencies, INEC

He expressed optimism that the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, would win the election.

A former Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC), Mudashiru Hussein, has commended security agencies for ensuring a peaceful atmosphere during Saturday’s governorship election in Osun.

He said the atmosphere in the town and the state in general was peaceful, allowing the electorate to exercise their franchise.

Mr Hussein also commended the large turnout of voters, saying it demonstrated the eagerness of the electorate to perform their civic duties.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the “timely arrival” of election materials and ad hoc staff for the exercise.

Mr Hussein further praised INEC for providing an enabling environment for persons with disabilities, pregnant and nursing mothers, and the elderly to vote.

He expressed optimism that the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, would win the election.
