3 governors to inaugurate multi-billion naira projects in Katsina

The Katsina State Government says an arrangement has been concluded to receive three governors for the commissioning of multi-billion naira projects executed by Governor Dikko Radda.

The state Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Dr Bala Zango, disclosed this on Wednesday in Katsina, while briefing journalists on the development.

According to him, the governors include AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, and Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto.

He explained that the dignitaries were also expected to witness the turbaning of the governor’s son, Muhammad Dikko, as the Gwagwaran Katsina, and District Head of Radda, scheduled for May 2.

The turbaning ceremony will be done at the palace of the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman.

Zango said governor Buni would flag off the inauguration activities on May 1, with the inauguration of the reconstructed Ingawa-Dutsi-Shargalle road network.

According to him, later in the day, governor Aliyu is expected to commission the Yandaki-Shinkafi-Kofar Soro junction road within Katsina metropolitan.

He added that governor AbdulRazaq would on May 5, inaugurate a Model Secondary School in Radda community, located in Charanchi Local Government Area.

Also to be turbaned is Ahmed Abdulmumini-Kabir, son of the Emir of Katsina, who will become District Head of Dankama in Kaita LGA, alongside Alhaji Abubakar Darisu, who will be installed as District Head of Muduru in Mani LGA.

The commissioner noted that the ceremony would feature a lineup of cultural and social activities, including a special polo tournament, colourful durbar displays, and a state dinner.
