Everything is now in place for the 2026 Abuja Business and Investment Expo (ABIE 3.0), a flagship investment summit organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) to attract fresh capital, deepen public-private partnerships and accelerate economic growth in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Scheduled to hold from August 5 to 7, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, the three-day summit will be held under the theme: “Building Nigeria’s Capital: Investment as a Catalyst for Economic Growth.”
Speaking ahead of the event, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AICL, Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, described the expo as more than an annual gathering, saying it has evolved into a strategic platform designed to position Abuja as Nigeria’s premier investment destination.
According to her, the summit will connect investors with viable business opportunities, promote enterprise development, strengthen public-private partnerships and showcase the enormous investment potential of the nation’s capital.
Tamuno said the initiative aligns with the infrastructure-driven transformation agenda of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, as well as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which seeks to position Nigeria as a globally competitive investment destination.
She noted that Abuja has continued to witness unprecedented infrastructure development alongside growing investor confidence, citing the 2025 Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report, which ranked the FCT fourth among Nigeria’s 37 subnational entities.
“ABIE 2026 is designed to translate this progress into practical investments, strategic partnerships and measurable economic outcomes,” she said.
“It is more than an event. It is a strategic platform to position Abuja as Nigeria’s leading investment destination by connecting investors with opportunities, strengthening public-private partnerships, promoting enterprise development and showcasing the immense potential of the Federal Capital Territory.”
Reflecting on the FCT’s recent transformation, Tamuno said the capital city has become one of Nigeria’s most attractive investment destinations, driven by bold infrastructure renewal and business-friendly reforms.
The Director-General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi John Agama, will deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony.
The summit will feature an impressive lineup of speakers and panelists, including the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Tope Fasua; Botswana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Her Excellency Philda Nani Kereng; Founding Partner of Sabou Capital, Surayyah Ahmad; Chief Executive Officer of Soundcore Group, Anthony Nwakolor; Chief Executive Officer of RBI Perse Advisory Limited, Amanda Fese; veteran actress and filmmaker Joke Silva; Chief Investment Officer of AICL, Dr. Abiodun Akanbi; Director-General of the Mines Cadastral Office, Engr. The closing day’s keynote address will be delivered by Ghana’s Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), Nana Oye Bampoe Addo.
Tamuno disclosed that the summit is expected to attract local and international investors, diplomats, development partners, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, researchers, exhibitors, women-led businesses, youth innovators and policymakers.
She also reflected on AICL’s transformation over the past two years, noting that the organisation has evolved from simply creating awareness about its mandate to becoming a trusted investment facilitation agency sought after by both local and international investors and development partners.
According to her, the growing interest in the company and the increasing profile of the annual expo underscore Abuja’s emergence as one of Africa’s most promising investment destinations.
