“Binance Halts Transactions With 17 Crypto Platforms In Nigeria, UAE, Iran, UK, Europe” — Warns Users Of Compliance Reviews, Wallet Restrictions

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has stopped processing transactions involving 17 crypto-asset service providers and platforms operating across Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Zimbabwe, Georgia, Belarus, the United Kingdom, Europe and other jurisdictions, citing recent regulatory developments.

In a notice to users, Binance said the restrictions are being implemented in phases and warned customers against directly or indirectly sending funds to, receiving funds from, or otherwise conducting transactions involving any of the listed entities through its platform after their respective effective dates.

The company did not disclose the specific regulatory developments that prompted the restrictions, but said the measures were necessary to comply with regulatory requirements in jurisdictions where it operates and to protect its users and their assets.

According to Binance, the first phase of the restrictions took effect on August 7, 2026, affecting Shelbit (Shelbit General Trading LLC), which operates in the UAE and Iran, and Aban Tether Exchange, which operates in Iran.

A second phase took effect on August 13, covering three platforms with Nigerian operations.

They are A7 Nigeria, which operates in Nigeria; A7 Africa, which operates in Nigeria and Zimbabwe; and PilotFinance Ltd, based in Nigeria.

Binance said further restrictions took effect from August 23, covering a wider group of cryptocurrency platforms operating in several countries.

Those affected include Rapira and Aifory Pro (Sooty Ltd.), both operating in Georgia.

Also affected is ABCeX (Nueva Cryptologia S.A.S DE C.V.), which Binance said has links to El Salvador and Georgia.

The list further includes WhiteBird and Tradex (Brightum LLC), both based in Belarus, as well as NoOnecrypto INC., which operates internationally.

Other affected entities are Monease Ltd, based in the United Kingdom; BitPapa, which operates in the UAE; and Exnode and Exnode Pay (Arvix), both based in Georgia.

Binance also listed HTX (Huobi Global SA), which was founded in China, and EXMO Ltd, which operates in the United Kingdom and Europe, among the restricted platforms.

Altogether, the restrictions affect 17 entities.

Binance instructed users not to engage, either directly or indirectly, in transactions involving the affected service providers after their respective restriction dates.

The exchange warned that any attempt to carry out such transactions could trigger compliance procedures.

“Any transactions attempted on or after these dates may be held and subject to a compliance review,” Binance said.

The company added that restrictions may also be placed on affected cryptocurrency wallets while such reviews are ongoing.

According to Binance, transactions involving the prohibited entities may amount to a breach of its terms of use.

The exchange further warned customers against disclosing, publishing or sharing their Binance wallet addresses with third parties or other platforms in circumstances that could associate those addresses with any of the restricted crypto-asset service providers.

Binance said users who fail to keep their wallet addresses confidential could expose themselves to dusting attacks or other unauthorised activities involving their accounts.

“Binance is required to adhere to the regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions in which it operates,” the company said.

“These measures are necessary to meet those requirements and to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our users and their assets.”

The exchange advised customers seeking clarification about the restrictions or potentially affected transactions to contact its support service.

The decision means Binance users dealing with the listed entities, including the three platforms connected to Nigeria A7 Nigeria, A7 Africa and PilotFinance Ltd will no longer be able to route transactions involving them through Binance without potentially triggering holds, compliance reviews or wallet restrictions.
