Unfortunately, a significant number of these projects have never seen the light of day. Some were abandoned before completion, while others have been left in a state of prolonged inactivity; effectively maintained in a form of ‘suspended animation’. As a result, unfinished structures dot the landscape across the country; some are completed facilities that never became commercially viable, while others remain trapped indefinitely between conception and construction. Several continue to receive annual budgetary allocations, even though they produce little or no public value.
