The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda, AKOD, has heartily celebrated Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku on the occasion of his 80th birthday, describing him as a patriarch of wisdom, leadership and selfless service.
In a birthday message, Comr. Dauda said Cardinal Odunmbaku’s life remains a shining example to generations of leaders, public servants and residents across Lagos State and beyond.
The Ikeja LG boss paid glowing tribute to the octogenarian, noting that his decades of dedication to community development, mentorship and nation-building have left an indelible mark.
“Your life of leadership, service, wisdom and inspiration remains a shining example to generations,” Comr. Dauda stated.
He described Cardinal Odunmbaku as a father-figure whose counsel and moral guidance continue to shape governance, politics and community life in Ikeja and Lagos at large.
Comr. Dauda prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the celebrant as he enters a new decade.
“May Almighty God bless you with sound health, renewed strength, divine wisdom and many more glorious years ahead,” he said.
The Chairman added that the Ikeja Local Government will continue to draw from the wealth of experience and legacy of leaders like Cardinal Odunmbaku in its drive to deliver people-oriented governance and sustainable development.
Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, fondly called “Baba Eto,” is widely regarded as one of Lagos’ most respected political elders and community leaders. Over the years, he has been credited with mentoring several political office holders and championing causes that promote peace, unity and progress.
The celebration of his 80th birthday has drawn goodwill messages from political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders and residents who acknowledge his contributions to the growth of Lagos State.
