2Baba to perform at Pero’s nightclub
“New beginnings; timeless music.”
Music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia will perform at Lasolas Night Club, owned by his former partner, Pero Adeniyi, and her husband, Ochuko Agofure.
This was disclosed in a statement accompanying a video Ms Adeniyi posted on her Instagram page on Sunday.
In the video, which featured 2Baba and Ehikowoicho, his first daughter with Ms Adeniyi, the “African Queen” crooner announced he will perform at the nightclub on 13 November.
Ms Adeniyi described 2Baba’s forthcoming appearance as an evening of timeless music, cherished memories and unforgettable experiences.
She reflected on how life changes over time, noting that different seasons often take people in unexpected directions.
However, she suggested that, despite life’s uncertainties, things eventually fall into place.
“Life has a beautiful way of reminding us that some moments are simply beyond what we could ever imagine. Some stories don’t need explaining. Some moments deserve a smile. And on that note. The legendary 2Baba will be live at LASOLAS Nightclub on November 13TH!
“A night of timeless music, beautiful memories, and unforgettable vibes. Some things in life you cannot script. Life really does come full circle. Different chapters. New beginnings. Timeless music.”
Speaking in the video, 2Baba called on his fans and nightclub enthusiasts to turn out in large numbers and enjoy themselves.
He promised them an exciting experience, assuring them that there would be no restrictions and everyone could have a good time.
“As you already know, you know what? 13 November at Lasolas Night Club in Ikeja, everybody come out and let’s enjoy ourselves. No shaking, let’s be free.”
2Baba’s upcoming performance will bring him and his former partner together in an interesting turn of events.
For nearly two decades, Ms Adeniyi held a prominent place in the singer’s personal life, prompting speculation that he might marry her.
However, 2Baba surprised many when he married actress Annie Macaulay in a lavish Dubai ceremony in 2012. The couple have since separated.
Ms Adeniyi, whose relationship with the singer became public knowledge in 2005, had three children with him: Ehikowoicho, Justin and Innocent Idibia Jnr.
