Council chairman sponsors Igbo-Eze South youths for aviation training

The beneficiaries, who have already settled into their new academic environment in Lagos and commenced lectures in the Academy’s batch 94/95 Cabin Crew class, mark the beginning of an exciting journey towards professional careers in the aviation industry.
The sky is no longer the limit for young people of Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State as the council Chairman, Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, continues to translate his youth development ambition into tangible opportunities.
The beneficiaries, who have already settled into their new academic environment and commenced lectures in the Academy’s batch 94/95 Cabin Crew class, mark the beginning of an exciting journey towards professional careers in the aviation industry.
For these young people, the opportunity represents more than classroom instruction; it is a gateway to acquiring specialised skills, gaining industry exposure and pursuing careers in a globally connected sector.
Through this initiative, Mr Ukwueze is investing in the capacity of young people to participate in an increasingly competitive and opportunity-driven world. It is a practical expression of the human capital development pillar of his administration’s Progress Agenda, complementing Governor Peter Mbah’s “Tomorrow Is Here” vision and the broader possibilities emerging from the growth of Enugu State’s aviation sector, which the launch of our dear Enugu Airline has made even more evident.
At the grassroots level, this vision finds practical expression when young people are equipped with the knowledge, competencies, and professional exposure required to compete beyond their immediate environments. By these efforts, the Ukwueze administration has demonstrated how local governance can complement the broader development aspirations of the Enugu State Government, ensuring that the promise of a transformed state reaches young people in Igbo-Eze South.
Aviation is a specialised and increasingly interconnected field, and access to professional training can open pathways to employment and career advancement. By creating access to this opportunity, the Igbo-Eze South chairman is helping beneficiaries take practical steps towards their ambitions while broadening the horizons of other young people who aspire to similar professional accomplishments.
The ambition is to build a community where the dreams of young people are not limited by their backgrounds or geographic location, but are strengthened by access to education, relevant skills and opportunities for advancement. This commitment forms part of the broader Progress Agenda, with human capital development serving as an essential pillar of sustainable grassroots progress.
The trainees who have already begun this new chapter at Lagos Aviation Academy carry with them the hopes of their families, communities and the wider Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area. The message resonates beyond the walls of the Academy, and for the beneficiaries, tomorrow is already here.
