EXCLUSIVE: Herbert Wigwe $6.5 Million Yacht Sails Under New Name Called Celine After His Daughter Tochi Succeeded To Sell It With Buyer And Price Kept Off Public Record

Secrets Reporters
The yacht now lies at Yalıkavak Marina in Türkiye under a new name, CELINE. The build underneath the name is the 2016 Custom Line 108 built at Ancona, 32.95 metres long and 247 gross tons, with design by Zuccon International Project. Against the same hull, the same build, the same model and the same year, Chitochi stands recorded as her former name.
Information seen by SecretsReporters incontrovertibly reveals that the yacht sold as Chitochi out of the Wigwe fleet now sails under the name Celine, a connection no report has made before now.
Under the new name she stands entered as CELINE, a 2016 Custom Line 108 with Chitochi carried as the former name of the same hull, and she is not offered for charter. The entry under the new name and the entry under the old one describe one vessel, matched on build, model, year and former name.
The electronic trail has kept the old name. Vessel tracking records still transmit her as MV CHITOCHI under the British Virgin Islands flag, with Maritime Mobile Service Identity 378112918 and callsign ZJL9931. No International Maritime Organization number is recorded for the 247 gross ton pleasure yacht.
The Yacht And Where The Trail Runs
CELINE is a Custom Line 108 motor yacht, one of nine built on the model line and the fourth hull in the series. Custom Line built her at Ancona in Italy and delivered her in 2016 under the name Chitochi. She is built of glass reinforced plastic on a planing hull, classed with RINA, and measures 32.95 metres in length with a beam of 7.25 metres and a draught of 1.99 metres. Twin MTU 16V 2000 diesel engines of 2,638 horsepower each give her a top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots. She carries five cabins for ten to twelve guests and a crew of five. Her main engines stand at 544 hours each.
The movement trail begins in Florida. Across her life on the tracking record she carries two arrivals at Fort Lauderdale, one at Palm Beach and one at Freeport in the Bahamas, with no dates carried for those calls in the public view. She lay at Fort Lauderdale through the listing period.
After the sale the trail moves into the Mediterranean. The record gives a first window of port calls between 26 March and 4 April 2026 and a second window between 14 May and 16 May 2026. The dated entry inside the second window names Marmaris in Türkiye, with a departure on 16 May 2026 at 04:23 UTC.
The last fix ever received from her transponder came on 17 June 2026 at 16:22 UTC in the Aegean Sea, at 37.00429 degrees north and 27.42297 degrees east, on a course of 257.7 degrees at 8.9 knots, closing a final tracked leg of 83.55 nautical miles run at an average speed of 13.8 knots. Her last recorded port is Ortakent in Türkiye, with arrival on 17 June 2026 at 19:20 UTC, and she lies at Yalıkavak Marina on the same coast. No position, port call, flag change or change of transmitting name has been recorded for her in the months since that day.
Her tender carries a separate tracking identity as T/T CHITOCHI, Maritime Mobile Service Identity 378113163, callsign ZJL2183, British Virgin Islands flag, nine metres by three metres. The tender is part of the yacht equipment and is not a second yacht.
Chitochi was the sole asset recorded for Grosvenor Marine Ventures Ltd in the British Virgin Islands claim forms. The issued shares of that company stood in the joint names of Herbert Wigwe and Doreen Chizoba Wigwe. Herbert and Doreen Wigwe were its only directors. Both died on 9 February 2024.
Grosvenor Marine Ventures Ltd was struck off and dissolved on 5 November 2024 after non-payment of annual fees. The three claim forms filed in the British Virgin Islands in January and February 2026 sought emergency administration grants over the two estates and restoration of the company. A grant of letters of administration ad colligenda bona defuncti was issued on 22 January 2026, limited to collecting the Grosvenor shares into the names of Otutochi Channel Uzoamaka Wigwe and Uchechukwu Nwabueze Wigwe.
The claim forms record a buyer offer at an attractive price. The filings give no figure. The offer was conditional on completion on or before 31 January 2026.
International Yacht Corporation had centrally listed Chitochi at Fort Lauderdale with an asking price of $6,500,000, and the listing ran through the American brokerage market at the same figure. An asking price is a listing figure and is not a sale price.
International Yacht Corporation announced the sale on 26 March 2026. The announcement states that Sales and Charter Consultant Mark Elliott represented the seller. It names no buyer. It states no achieved price. No party to the sale has published a buyer or an achieved price at any point since.
The dates leave a public record with three fixed points and one missing order. The buyer offer in the British Virgin Islands filings carried a completion deadline of 31 January 2026. The restoration claim for Grosvenor Marine Ventures Ltd was filed on 2 February 2026. International Yacht Corporation announced the completed sale on 26 March 2026. No public record found states the date of any restoration order, the terms of any extension or replacement offer, or the order under which the company stood when the sale closed.
CELINE is the name she now carries. MV CHITOCHI is the name still carried by her tracking transmission. The British Virgin Islands flag, Maritime Mobile Service Identity 378112918 and callsign ZJL9931 remain attached to the record, while the buyer and the price remain outside every public sale announcement found.
