NCC Convenes Telecoms Stakeholders To Assess Market Competition

Published

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to bring key stakeholders together in Lagos as it intensifies consultation on the level of competition in Nigeria’s telecommunications industry.
‎
‎The Commission will hold its 2nd Stakeholder Engagement Forum on the Study of the Level of Competition in the Nigerian Telecommunications Industry on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
‎
‎The forum forms part of the NCC’s stakeholder consultation on its study of competition within the telecommunications industry.

‎The Commission has invited stakeholders to participate in the consultation, providing a QR code through which participants can access the 2nd Stakeholder Consultation on the Study of the Level of Competition.

‎The planned engagement comes as competition remains an important issue in Nigeria’s telecommunications sector, where operators and other industry players compete for subscribers, investments and market opportunities.
‎
‎However, the NCC announcement does not state the findings or conclusions of the ongoing study.

The Lagos forum is specifically presented as a stakeholder engagement and consultation on the study.

‎The event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to engage with the Commission on the subject as the regulatory body continues its assessment of the competitive landscape in the Nigerian telecommunications industry.
