Police Nab Suspected Cultists Terrorising Ajah

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspected cultists allegedly terrorising the Addo Road area of Ajah and recovered a locally made pistol.
The suspects, identified as Idris Rasak, 26, aka Aloss, and Ibrahim Kazeem, 25, aka Asunmo Kebe, were arrested by operatives of the command’s Violent Crime Response Unit following intelligence on their alleged involvement in cult-related activities.
The police in a statement by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, said on Tuesday that the suspects confessed during interrogation to being members of the Eiye Confraternity.
According to the command, the suspects subsequently led operatives to the Waterside area of Addo, Ajah, where a locally made cut-to-size pistol was recovered.
The suspects are currently in police custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of their alleged activities and identify other persons who may be connected to the crimes.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai, reiterated the command’s commitment to combating cultism and other criminal activities through intelligence-led operations.
He urged members of the public to provide credible information to the police to support crime prevention and improve the safety and security of residents across the state.
